The Holy Angels - God's Messengers

Description of Pride and Rebellion Against God and His Throne in the 3rd or Highest Heaven of Lucifer - Satan and His Fellow Rebellious Angels in Isaiah 14

God says definitely in this scripture passage in Isaiah 14 that Lucifer which is Latin for "morning star" was originally in heaven and implies this was his original home. The term morning star of Lucifer as used of Satan probably means he is one of the original creations of God and has splendour or glory above most of God's creation along with other of the angels, fallen or holy. Also the term morning stars is used in the plural of angels in general probably before the angelic rebellion led by Lucifer or Satan in which he probably took 1/3 of the angels away from God in his rebellion as is implied in Revelation 12. In the reference in Job 38 the morning stars probably refers to all angels before there were any fallen angels and they were all then still under God's blessing and favour. The statement of Satan or Lucifer or the devil being cut down to the ground for weakening the nations probably means a reference to the temptation of our first parents the man and woman Adam and Eve from whom came all the nations in the devil's or Lucifer's tempting Eve through the serpent to disregard God's word to not take of the forbidden fruit and take of it so she and then Adam could be as gods or (as God) knowing good and evil. The devil or Lucifer could have been created significantly before this time and already become evil by rebellion against with other angels or just have led the rebellion against God at about the same time he went into the serpent to tempt Eve with the forbidden fruit. Lucifer of the devil being cut down to the ground means God exiled him to a primary domain in hell in the heart of the earth although he can still roam on the earth in the air and in the heavens for now. Then Lucifer became exalted in his heart through pride in Exekiel 28 it says because of his beauty or glory that God had given him although this could be also due to his imagination of tempting Adam and Eve and getting the human race to fall away from God to Satan's power or influence. Lucifer or Satan said that he would exalt his throne above the stars of God and ascend into heaven. These two are relation also in passages like 2 Corinthians 12 in the New Testament where the Apostle Paul says the third heaven is paradise and the dwelling of God which also implies this is beyond the stars which are probably the second heavens and the Earth's atmosphere or the air which is probably the first heavens. Lucifer or Satan was saying here that he wanting to push God Himself off His throne and take over the throne of Heaven and the universe and install himself Lucifer or Satan as the rule or heaven and earth. It is possible also that Lucifer saying he would exalt himself above the stars of God and ascend into heaven could imply that Satan or Lucifer as well as the other angels were before dwelling more in the second or starry or celestial heavens and not in the third heavens and perhaps God let the obedient angels then come to dwell in the third heaven because he trusted them more by resisting the temptation to follow Lucifer in his rebellion against God with some of the other angels who became fallen angels or demons. Also Lucifer's or Satan's ambition to exalt his throne over the stars of God could also refer figuratively to the angels although who were probably dwelling at least mostly in the celestial or second heavens although I think the main meaning of these stars is the literal meaning of self luminous physical or inaminate celestial bodies although even in this meaning it could still include planets including of other stars. Lucifer's or Satan's saying he would sit upon the mount of the congregation refers to the tabernacle or temple of God in Heaven mentioned in the books of Hebrews and Revelation in the New Testament also the pattern after which God revealed the design of the earthly tabernacle of God "after the pattern shown you in the holy mount (Mount Sinai)". This was also in the sides of the north probably meaning it was in heaven over the place of Mount Moriah on which the Temples of God in Jerusalem were built and which was also within the Garden of Eden that probably extended from the Euphrates to the Nile River in Egypt with Jerusalem also being in the north or northern hemisphere. This is probably also referred to in Job 26 where it is stated God hung the north over the empty place in connection with the Earth in space. I do not personally know how this portal could be maintained between the rotation Earth that faces many directions in space and heaven unless at least the third heaven where God dwells rotates at the same rate about 24 hours in one rotation as the Earth. Although it doesn't say how long it is there is a verse in Psalm 89:29 God just showed me that mentioned days in heaven in connection with God's Messiah (Jesus of Nazareth) so there could be days of limited duration perhaps also one Earth day in the third heaven although this last point is quite speculative but possible.

Consequences to Lucifer or Satan and Other Angels That Rebelled Against God in Early History of the Universe in Isaiah 14

Then God says that for Lucifer's or Satan's pride (and that of the other angels that fell from God in Lucifer's rebellion that God would bring him and them to the hell to the sides of the pit which is in the heart of the Earth in Jesus' words. Then it says ultimately people especially those who trust God and His Son Jesus Christ or the Messiah through this life in the life to come or last day will look on Lucifer or Satan with contempt and surprise wondering that someone as apparently insignifcant as him could put the earth in fear and shake kingdoms or nations and cause devastations on the earth including through wars or perhaps at God's permission encouraging some ill effects of nature like plagues or bad weather although only God can create these things but the devil can manipulate them as he did clearly in the first couple chapters of the book of Job. Also it says in the Bible that God will shake kingdoms but at least part of this will and partly now is letting Satan cause some destruction that gives Christians a chance to show God's love and be faithful to God in difficulty and that God also uses to break the false security in this world of unbelievers. It also mentions especially godly human beings in the life to come or at the end of time will also wonder when we see the devil or Lucifer that he was the one that destroyed cities as in oppression through urban decay or crime and that didn't let go those who indulged in the pleasures the devil offers like worldly power or riches, immoral sex, drugs or drunkenness, violence or the occult or false mysticism or unbelief or godless religion who sought those or other things Lucifer or Satan offers and departed from the LORD and became Satan's or Lucifer's prisoners. The scripture reference in Isaiah 14 of the rebellion and casting out of heaven to the earth of Lucifer the devil or Satan (and his fellow fallen angels) is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Isaiah 14 of Pride and Rebellion of Lucifer or the Devil and Other Angels and There Judgment by God in Casting Them Out of Heaven to Hell as Their New Domain

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? Isaiah 14:12-17

Description of Universal Worship of All Angels of God Including Lucifer and Other Now Fallen Angels at Early Histsory of the Universe in Job 38

The setting for this passage was at the foundation or creation of the earth. This is what is meant by God laying the foundation of the earth and laying the measures of it or stretched out the measuring line upon it. At that time this passage says the morning stars sang together. Stars or host of heaven although usually used for the physical stars is often also used for the angels or heavenly messengers of God. The term morning stars probably refers to these angels as existing in the early history of the universe and this is probably the explanation for the term morning star or Lucifer for Satan in particular as well. The term sons of God although used in the New Testament for Christians is usually used just for angels in the Old Testament as they were specifically born of God and not indirctly through reproduction as humans are in our physical birth and conception although our spiritual birth is a direct birth from God and His Holy Spirit. As the term sons of God for human believers was not in common use in the Old Testament but was used for angels, this is probably the meaning for the beings mentioned in Genesis 6 that had sexual relations with human women. Although angels are not permitted by God to have sexual relations with humans, the sons of God that had sexual relations with woman before the flood of Noah were probably demons and wouldn't feel bound by God's commandments or expectations. The term sons of God in Job 38 refers to all angels initially all good and holy before some followed the devil in rebellion against God and became cursed by Him. The scripture reference in Job 38 of all the angels present at the early or initial history of earth is as follows:

Scripture Reference in Job 38 Concerning Original Universal Faithful Worship of All Angels Including Lucifer and Other Now Fallen Angels in Early History of the Universe

Where wast thou when I laid the foundation of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Job 38:4-7

God Sets up Some Holy Angels (Cherubims) To Guard the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden From Adam and Eve After Their Fall Into Sin in Genesis 3

After Adam and Eve took part of the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and received a sinful nature and desires and were destined to die, God expelled them from the garden of Eden and then put Holy Angels (Cherubims) with swords to guard the way to the Tree of Life so Adam or Eve wouldn't take the fruit of the Tree of Life and eat of it and obtain eternal life in their fallen state with sin, guilt, misery and sickness leading to physical death. God didn't want to deny them eternal life but with them as with us wants us to wait until we get to heaven with a righteous nature and new godly spiritual bodies that will still be able to physically eat of the fruit of the tree of life as in Revelation 21 to 22. This duty of the angels to guard the way to the tree of life is the beginning of their role as messengers to carry out duties appointed by God in his relating to human beings. It is interesting that angels are also appointed to guard the gates of the New Jerusalem in eternity in Revelation 21:12. The scripture reference to some holy angels carrying out their duty from God to guard the way to the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden after the fall into sin from fellowship with God of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Genesis 3 of Some Holy Angles Guarding the Way to the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden from Adam and Eve in Their Fallen State

Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Genesis 3:23-24

Statement of a Major Role of Angles in Giving the Law of Moses to the Israelites in Acts 7

In the early church Stephen was a Holy Spirit filled Christian and deacon. In Acts 7 he gave a lengthy and convicting account of the history of Israel or the Jews including many of what God would view as their failures and also mentioned their primary rejection of the Lord JEsus Christ as their Messiah. This resulted in his martyrdom and his becoming the first martyr from Jesus largely at the instruction of Saul of Tarsus who later became the apostle Paul but was then still a main oppenenent of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the last things he mentioned in his account of the history of Israel is that Israel received the law of Moses by the disposition of angels. This means that they were the vehicles through whom God or the LORD gave the law to the people of Israel through Moses. This was a major role of the angels in the history of Israel and one that I have only recently become aware of. It is not well known among Christians but is stated in other places of the New Testament and also a couple verses in the Old Testament or Hebrew scriptures. The involvement of angels in giving the law of Moses on Mount Sinai to the Jews through Moses could be one reason God instructed Moses to make images of angels on the veil of the tabernacle between the sanctuary where the main furniture was such as the menorah or candlestick, the table of shewbread and the altar of incense and the holy of holies where only the high priest could enter and housed the ark of the covenant and the mercy seat. There were also cherubim woven on the vail of the tabernacle (Exodus 26:31) and the temple (2 Chronicles 3:14) that covered the ark of the covenant with the tables of the law from Mount Sinai. Perhaps this was an association of the angels that were present at the giving of the Law from the LORD to Moses on Mount Sinai. The scripture reference from Acts 7 of the Law of Moses given to Moses and the Israelites through angels is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Acts 7 of the LORD Giving the Law to Moses and the Israelites Through Angels

Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. Acts 7:53

Mention of Angels With God in Mount Sinai from Psalm 68

This scripture mentions that thousands of angels were with the Lord in Mount Sinai. This is a reference to God's giving of the law through angels on Mount Sinai. It is called the holy place because that is where God as well as the angels appeared to the Israelites to make the Mosaic covenant including the Ten Commandments with them as God's terms of relating with the Israelites especially until the death of the Lord Jesus Christ but the Law will still have a significant application in the tribulation and in the Millennial Kingdom with faith in Jesus the Messiah and a use of the Law to convict of sin in the current Church age. The scripture passage of angels appearing with God on Mount Sinai to give the law to Israel in Psalm 68 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Psalm 68 of Angels Appearing With God on Mount Sinai to Give the Law to God's Chosen Earth People the Israelites or the Jews

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the LORD is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. Psalm 68:17

Two Angels (Cherubims) Placed on the Mercy Seat Above the Ark of the Covenant Representing Their Protecting God's Holy Presence From Exodus 25

Although the ark of the covenant was the most important or holiest part of the tabernacle or temple, there was a further part of it that was attached to it that was also quite important. This is the mercy seat. It was called the mercy seat because it was in its midst that God's presence dwelt and continued access to God's presence was assured by putting the shed blood of innocent animals there on a regular bases to cover the people's sins. The mercy seat was to be made of pure gold and was to be two cubits and a half or about 1 1/4 metres in length since a cubit was about 18 inches or half a metre in length. The mercy seat was to 1 1/2 cubits or about 3/4 metre in breadth. On the upper part of the mercy seat were to be made two cherubim of pure gold at each end of the mercy seat. The cherubims were to have their wings stretched forth probably touching one another over the middle of the mercy seat and ark of the covenant to represent their double or combined protection of God and His glory and holiness that dwelt in His Shekinah or visible glory between them or in their midst. This touching the wings of a pair of angels is similiar with the pairs of angels or living creatures around God's throne in heaven in the vision God gave to His prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel chapter 1 although those angels might not have been on either side of the LORD. The faces of the angels on the mercy seat were to be facing each other (and the glory of the LORD that would be between them) and towards the mercy seat that was on top of the Ark of the Covenant and the shed blood on the mercy seat. The shed blood on the mercy seat also speaks prophetically of the final shed blood of God's only begotton Son and Messiah Jesus of Nazareth who shed his blood on the cross that allows God to extend his mercy to take away the sins of all who trust in Him as our Lord and Saviour from our sins. God also instructed Moses that the mercy seat was to be above the ark of the covenant where he would put the testimony or tables of the law given on Mount Sinai with the 10 Commandments. The LORD makes it clear that he would dwell above the mercy seat between the cherubims and meet and instruct the Israelites from that location in the holy of holies through Moses and the high priests as was the case in the tabernacle and the First or Solomon's Temple. This reference to the angels built above the mercy seat amongst which God's presence dwelt above the mercy seat and the ark of the covenant meant to show the guarding of God's glory by the angels in Exodus 25 is as follows:

Scripture Reference From Exodus 25 of the Angels (Cherubims) Above the Mercy Seat Symbolically Guarding the LORD's Visible Presence Above the Mercy Seat Among the Children of Israel

And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be. And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. Exodus 25:17-22

Fact of Role of Angels of the LORD Giving the Law to the People of Israel From Deuteronomy 33

There are a number or references in the New Testament that mention that God gave the law to the Israelites through angels as well as through Moses. I had up until now been unable to find references to this in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) especially in the Torah (Books of Moses). However thanks to Believers Bible commentary in the reference on Galatians 3:19 I have found what I think is a reliable reference in Deuteronomy 33. This reference mentions the LORD coming down from heaven to Mount Sinai and some other holy mountains but with also many "saints" coming with him. As I don't think there would be resurrected believers in heaven at that time, I think these saints are holy angels as does William MacDonald the author of Believer's Bible Commentary. This reference in Deuteronomy also says a fiery law which could include the idea of God's ten commandments written by his finger in the tablets of stone or the idea of God's commandments or law coming from God in heaven. Whatever is the case it is clear that the angels are associated with God giving these commandments to the children of Israel. This is also consistant with some New Testament references such as Acts 7:53, Galatians 3:19 and Hebrews 2:2 for which I will mention more when I share about those references. The scripture reference of Deuteronomy 33 about The Lord giving his law to the children of Israel through holy angels is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Deuteronomy 33 of God Giving the Law of Moses To the Children of Israel (the Jews) Through Holy Angels (As Mentioned in the New Testament)

And he (Moses) said, The LORD came down from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Deuteronomy 33:2

Manna in the Wilderness Called Angels' Foods in Psalm 78

In Psalm 78 verse 24 the word of God mentions manna which was a light bread that tasted a bit like honey and was a main type of food God gave to the Israelites in their 40 years wandering in the Sinai wilderness between their exodus from Egypt and their return to the promised land of Israel. In this verse God through the psalmist calls manna the corn or grain of heaven. In the next verse, verse 25, this manna or miraculous bread from heaven is called angels' food. I don't think this is just figuative language as for instance the three guests that could have included angels although maybe also a pre-incarnate appearance of the LOrd Jesus Christ in Genesis 18 that visited Abraham before the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah ate physical food. Therefore angels are definitely able to eat physical food. Christians are promised to eat of the hidden manna that is manna in heaven which could be the same as the angels food. The scripture reference from Psalm 78 of God raining manna from heaven to the Israelites in the wilderness which is called angels' food is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Psalm 78 of God Raining Manna from Heaven and Calling it Angels' Food

And (God) had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven, Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. Psalm 78:24-25

God Commanding His Angels in All Places in His Creation on Earth and in the Heavens in Psalm 103

In verse 19 the scripture gives a picture of God on His throne as the place from which he rules the entire universe on earth and in all three heavens (the paradise abode of God or third heaven), the second heaven of the planets, stars and galaxies and the first heaven of the atmosphere of earth as well as one earth. This is what is meant by the statement his kingdom ruleth over all. This would include any life on other planets but as I have said in other parts of my web site, for several reasons I believe there will at most be only planets and animals on other habitable planets and not intelligent life other than angels or demons. However I think the demons will be bound in the bottomless pit by the end of the tribulation and beginning of the Messianic Kingdom. The angels are pictured as excelling in strength and doing God's commandments. I believe this is not only on earth but in the three heavens too. I think from the context this scripture means they do God's command directly and it doesn't mean they do what Christians command in quoting God's word as I think especially in this passage it is not talking about people even indirectly commanding angels but only God himself which would include God the Son Jesus Christ. This is also what I believe hearkening unto the voice of his word means as it is in the context of God on his throne ruling over all his creation. In the next verse the angels are called God's ministers (or servants) and His host or armies that do his pleasure. Again I believe this means that the angels are pictured taking their orders and their service from God Himself rather than through people even if they are God's people. I believe the angels here are pictured doing God's pleasure and service and fighting for him not only on earth but in the three heavens as well. Part of the fighting in the heavens could be against demons or fallen angels. These angels again in verse 22 as well as people and other parts of God's creation are instructed to bless the LORD from all parts of his dominion although at present I think there are only humanoid beings on earth but this verse could apply to human beings colonizing space in the Messianic Kingdom or in eternity in mortal bodies and then with resurrection bodies in a way consistant with the rest of God's Word - the Holy Bible. The scripture reference from Psalm 103 of the God from his throne ruling over all in the heavens and the earth including the angels as God's ministers and host at His word is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Psalm 103 of God from His Throne Ruling Over All Through His Word in the Heavens and on Earth Especially His Angels as His Host and Ministers

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts: ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul. Psalm 103:19-22

Background of Term Saints Sometimes Used of Angels Including in Psalm 89 of Many Angels Around God's Throne in Heaven but With God Superior to Them All

One point some people, including some Christians I have talked with who advocate replacement theology like to use is to say that in God's Word the Holy Bible the term saints or sanctfied ones only refers to Christians. Although, especially in the New Testament, saints does usually refer to Christians there are other times there where it also refers to tribulation saints who will be saved after the rapture of the Church and will not be part of the Church and some references to angels. There are also references to believers among the Israelites before Jesus' cruxifiction as saints in the Old Testament and possibly in the New Testament that are also not part of the Church or Christians.

However what I want to emphasize in this study is the reference in Psalm 89 of saints as angels. In particular this passage mentions the heavens praising God's wonders. This reference to the heavens could be to the inanimate stars, planets, nebula, asteroids etc. in the heavens or to intelligent beings like holy angels in either the 2nd or astronomical heavens or in the 3rd heavens where God visibly dwells praising God for His wonders probably of creation. The reference to God's faithfulness in the congregation of the saints is probably to God's continued blessings of the holy angels congregated or gathered around Him and His throne in the 3rd heaven. The Psalmist then asks who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD. This probably means especially who of the angels in the 3rd heaven or perhaps including in the 2nd astronomical heaven can be compared to God (the One True Triune God Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. Although the angels are glorious, mighty and wise they are still no comparison to God who is also much greater in these and other attributes. The sons of the mighty is also a reference to angels in the heavens probably especially the 3rd but including the 2nd heavens. Then in verse 7 the emphasis is again on the gathering or assembly of the angels around God's throne in the 3rd heavens. In this verse the emphasis is also of the holy angels not taking honour to themselves but fearing and giving reference to God as their Creator and sustainer and also to God as Creator and sustainer of the rest of the universe or heavens and earth and all things in them. The scripture reference from Psalm 89 of saints and sons of the mighty referring to holy angels especially around God on His Throne in the 3rd heaven and giving glory to Him but perhaps also to angels in the 2nd astronomical heavens is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Psalm 89 of Angels as Saints (Holy Ones) Especially Around God on His Throne in the 3rd Heaven Giving Glory to Him Including for His Creation and Sustaining of Them and the Whole Universe

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. Psalm 89:5-7

Example of A Holy Angel Doing God's Commandments on Earth from Ezekiel 9

In this chapter God (especially the Father who is the primary Person of the Divine Trinity with a relation to God's earthly people Israel) caused Ezekiel to hear and see a vision of God's judgment on the people of Jerusalem. God had earlier (in Ezekiel 8:3) caught up Ezekiel from Babylon to Jerusalem to behold some of the disobedience to God of the people of Jerusalem and Judah. God in chapter 9 gives a charge to six angels that seemed to be guardians of the city of Jerualem to bring judgment there against the then mostly ungodly people of Israel. That these six men were brought to the brazen altar or altar of sacrifice of the temple signifies they were brought on a mission of judgment for God. The altar of sacrifice was focused on offering animal sacrifices that were temporary substitutionary offerings to God for the people's sins and to cover their sins in God's sight like the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ on the cross was done once to take away all the sins in God's sight. God gave commandments to all six of these angels although some of them are called men it is quite clear from their mission of judgment from God that they are holy angels. God gave commandment to the man with the linen garment and the inkhorn to mark people in Jerusalem who sighed or who were dismayed at the evil or the ungodly including idolatrous Israelites in Jerusalem that these most godly Jews or Israelites would be spared God's judgment. Then God gave in verses 3 and 4 commandment or instruction to this angel marking the godly Israelites and this would be an example of the general description of the angels carrying out God's commandments in all places of His dominion (in all of heaven and earth). God then gave commandment to the other 5 angels to kill in judgment all the Israelites in Jerusalem that weren't grieved with the evil or the majority of the Israelites and who hadn't been given the mark on them by the other angel. This judgment was to begin with the priests and others in God's sanctuary or Solomon's Temple. Even godly Ezekiel was dismayed at the severity of God's judgment.

Although we are currently living in the time of God's grace at the end of the present Church Age that started with Pentecost almost 2000 years ago this Age of Grace will very soon end with the rapture of the Church. Then the tribulation and God's wrath will start in great severity for those left behind. I would therefore urge you if you haven't already done so to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour from your heart who died for our sins on the cross and rose again for forgiveness of all our sins and a relationship with God so you won't be left on earth in the tribulation for God's judgment. It is interesting that the people who were disobedient to God and were judged committed some of there disobedience to God because they thought God didn't care about or see what they did on earth anymore as I think many people on Earth now are like also and are in the same danger. The angel that had marked the righteous Israelites who were dismayed at sin for sparing them of God's judgment then said to God that he had carried out God's commandments (as had the other 5 angels). This time the word commandment is used. I think this is an instance of the fulfillment of God's charge of His commandments to holy angels in heaven and on earth. The scripture reference from Ezekiel 9 of these 6 holy angels being commanded of God and then carrying out His commandments of sparing of judging Israelites in Jerusalem and the one reporting back about carrying out God's commandments as an example of God's commandments to angels in Psalm 103 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Ezekiel 9 of 6 Angels Being Commanded by God to Spare or Judge Israelites in Jerusalem For Being Dismayed at Or Committing Sin, Then Carrying Out and Reporting to God of Carrying Out His Commandments as in Psalm 103

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man's slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. Ezekiel 9:1-11

Description in Isaiah 6 of Isaiah Having a Vision of Seraphim Angels Around God's Throne Who Had Hands as Well as Wings

In this vision the prophet Isaiah saw either God on His throne in heaven in glory. Around the Lord there were seraphim angels that had six wings. The cherumbim are probably the living creatures of Ezekiel 4 that had four wings and are probably the angels mentioned most in the Bible. The seraphim are a different order or race of angels than cherumbims and the seraphim are probably not the angels that are mentioned most other places in the Bible but principly seem to give glory to God around His throne in heaven. The living creatures or 4 beasts mentioned in Revelation 4 and elsewhere in Revelation could also be seraphims. The seraphim using some of his wings to cover his face was to shield him from the glory of God and using some of his wings to cover his feet was a sign of humility. This vision had a significant effect on Isaiah and humbled him at the glory of God and these angels worshipping him. One of the seraphim then took a coal off the heavenly altar and put it on Isaiah's tongue as a sign of cleansing him of his sin. This also prepared Isaiah for renewed service to God. This verse mentions that the seraphim used one of his hands to operate some tongs to take a coal off the heavenly altar. This verse shows that seraphim had hands, that were probably two one probably one of each side under each set of three wings. This verse also shows that the seraphim could use their hands to operate tools such as tongs and probably other tools or instruments. Although in Ezekiel 28 Satan in his pre-fallen state as Lucifer is described as a cherub there could have been some of the seraphim among the angels that fell away from God in the rebellion led by Satan but there aren't really clear indications of this in God's word the Holy Bible. The scripture reference from Isaiah 6 of the seraphim around God's throne is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Isaiah 6 of the Seraphim Angels Who Had Hands as Well as Wings Around God's Throne That Glorified God and Prepared Isaiah for Renewed Service to God

In the year that king Uzziah (Azariah) died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain (two) he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Than said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched they lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and they sin purged. Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:1-8

The Living Creatures or Beasts Around God's Throne That Could be Seraphim in Revelation 4

There is a scene in heaven where the apostle John representing the Church is caught up after the letters to the churches representing the present Church Age after he heard a trumpet. The four beasts or living creatures are round the throne where God the Father and the Lamb (Jesus Christ the Son of God) rule the universe in their glory. This throne is surrounded by a sea of glass clear as crystal. The four beasts or living creatures are each described with different descriptions perhaps indicating different temperments related to the associated animals or a man. The beasts being described as having many eyes means they had much knowledge or perception of what was going on. These four beasts are described as each having six wings which is one of the reasons I think they are part of the seraphim order of angels that are also described as having six wings in Isaiah 6. These beasts or living creatures that I think are seraphim also gave a statement of praise to God that started Holy, holy, holy as the seraphim did to God in Isaiah 6. They then also mentioned a name of God as the seraphim did to God in Isaiah 6 and they then made a statement or woship to God related to one of his attributes or characteristics here you could say it is His self-existence or eternal nature while in Isaiah 6 it is His glory over all the earth which among other things one could related to God's power or omnipotence or having all power. The scripture reference from Revelation 4 of the 4 living creatures that could be seraphim and their six wings and giving glory to God around His throne among other things is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Revelation 4 of the Living Creatures (Beasts) With Six Wings That Could be Seraphims Around God's Throne Giving Glory to Him

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Revelation 4:6-8

Beings Associated With the Wheels in Ezekiel's Vision With 4 Faces Definitely Said to Be Cherubims in Ezekiel 10

Although it isn't too clear what order of angels the living creatures are that are described in the early chapters of Ezekiel that are associated with the wheels, it is more definitely stated they are cherubim in Ezekiel 10. Although it is a popular idea, especially in some UFO and New Age circles, that Ezekiel's mention of these wheels in a celestial or supernatural vision is of UFO's I think Ezekiel is just using that term to refer to the energy and continual motion of the angels not to UFOs. However I do think there could be some mention of UFOs in the Bible especially in connection with the worship of astral gods from the housetops of the Israelites houses in Jeremiah and Zephaniah as I think I describe in my web page about a Scientific and Christian View of Extraterrestrial Life. It can be confusing if we aren't careful that both the seraphim and cherubim, though different orders of angels, are both called living creatures but if we are careful to keep to the context such as what is the other description of the angels such as how many wings, what they are saying or other context I think we can keep things rightly sorted out. The scripture reference from Ezekiel 10 of the angels associated with the wheels in Ezekiel's vision of the glory of God being referred to as cherubim is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Ezekiel 10 of Angels Associated With the Wheels and the Glory of God as Cherubim

Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight. Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory. Ezekiel 10:1-4

Background of Cherubim Angels Including That They Had Hands Under Their Wings and In This Case Were 4 Joined Together and Had Something Like Wheels to Move from Ezekiel 10

There is an extended description of especially cherubim angels around in association with God and His glory in Ezekiel 10. These angels are under and seem to support God on a platform where He sits on His throne when He wants to move around outside His more fixed throne in the highest or third heaven beyond the farthest galaxies that are part of the second or astronomical heavens. These angels used their wings to propel them and God with them especially to make them and God go vertically in this case was to go up in a vertical direction from the earth. These angels also had something like wheels which unfortunately some people in the UFO community including many New Agers have tried to use to say these angels are extraterrestrial aliens in UFO spacecraft. Although some fallen angels may appear to come to UFO spacecraft I believe the description here in Ezekiel 10 is only of cherubim angels and the wheels to represent how they move especially horizontally such that they can go in any direction horizontally without turning their bodies or that they can go straightforward. These angels also reverenced God and His glory. These cherubim angels are also called living creatures or beasts and could be the same type of living creature angels mentioned in Revelation such as in Revelation 4 around God's fixed and more permanent throne in the 3rd heaven. Each of these angels is said to have four faces that could be actual 4 faces or that could be a symbolic reference such as that each of their faces had elements that could be associated with elements of 4 different type of creatures of God. Each of these cherubim angels are also said to have four wings with two on each side and hands like a man with one on each side under their wings. With these hands these angels would be able to touch or manipulate tools or other objects.

In Ezekiel 28:14 Satan or Lucifer the devil is called a cherub and would and probably does have or can have the same appearance as these still holy cherubim angels since Satan as Lucifer was also originally a good cherumbim angel before he got lifted up in pride against God to try to replace God as the ruler of the universe and then got judged and cast down by God from heaven as his Satan's continuing dwelling place or home although he still has access there a little longer. That cherumbim have hands as well as wings could mean that the devil and other demons or fallen angels who are probably also fallen cherubim angels also have or could still function as having hands to touch including human beings and to manipulate tools or objects. This could explain some strange or otherwise unexplainable including out of time or place such as seeming to very technologically advanced objects or structures before their time on earth or artificial objects on other worlds like the Face on Mars or the Cliffhugger Crab seen there more recently by the NASA Curiosity Rover. That Cliffhugger Crab having two colours and compositions of rock seems to be less likely to be natural that some other things like one so called rat that is just of one rock colour and composition and are probably just odd looking natural objects. The devil or demons might like to make these things to deceive people into thinking they are evidence for extraterrestrials including that some people try to falsely say created human beings and other life on earth instead of the actual Creator God of the Bible creating us and all life on earth.

Ezekiel saw this vision of angels by Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, Israel after seeing a vision of similiar angels by the river Chebar in Babylon in Ezekiel 1. The scripture reference from Ezekiel 10 of these cherubim angels that held up God and His glory when He travelled and had two hands under their four wings and used something like wheels as well as their wings for movement is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Ezekiel 10 of Cherubim Angels or Living Creatures Who Could Move by Their Wings or Something Like Wheels and Had Hands Under Their Wings and Were Associated With God and His Glory When Moving

Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims. And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims. Every one had four faces apiece, and every one had four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward. Ezekiel 10:18-22

An Angel Stops the Mouth of the Lion With the Prophet Daniel in Daniel 6

In Daniel 6 Satan used the authorities other than the king of the Medes Darius to hatch a scheme to put to death Daniel. This scheme involved putting to death anybody that prayed to some other God/god in a thirty day period other than to the king of the Medes would be put to death. The Median king Darius wasn't aware this was aimed at Daniel when he signed it. Daniel had also not done anything warrented to offend these rulers or any significant sin against God. As a result God intervened when these rulers tried to throw Daniel to the lions to have him killed. Although Daniel was thrown to the lions the scripture says an angel closed and kept closed the mouth of the lion while Daniel was in its den so Daniel wasn't hurt. This is an example of God using holy angels to protect his people. Soon afterward when Daniel was brought out of the lion's den his persecutors were thrown into the lion's den and the lions quickly killed them which shows that under normal circumstances these lions were quite deadly. The scripture reference from Daniel 6 of God using a holy angel to protect his faithful servant Daniel in the lion's den is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Daniel 6 of God Protecting His Faithful Servant Daniel by Closing the Mouth of the Lion in the Lion's Den

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Daniel 6:22

An Angel Appears to Joseph to Take Mary as His Wife and Assure Him That The Pregancy of Her With the Baby Jesus Wasn't Due to Her Having Sex With Another Man from Matthew 1

The setting of this event was that there was a godly woman Mary that was espoused or engaged to an upright man Joseph and she was found to be pregnant. This child was not of natural means but as a result of an act of the Holy Spirit. Joseph thought at the time that she was pregnant due to sex with another man and was about to divorce her for being unfaithful to him. Then when he was thinking of doing this an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. This is another way that angels have and continue to bring messages from God to people. This is in contrast to some other appearances of angels to people in the New Testament where angels appeared to people in person. This angel addressed Joseph as a son of David which he was and to prepare him to realize that the child he was the foster father of would be the Jewish Messiah who was to be a son of David. The angel mentioned to Joseph to go ahead and take Mary as his wife because the child she was pregnant with was the result of an act of the Holy Spirit not of another man. The angel said some other things including that the name of the child was to be Jesus which was an indication of his mission on earth which would be to save his people from their sins. This encounter of Joseph the foster father of Jesus with the angel is a good example that holy angels then and now when they talk about Jesus focus on the true gospel that Jesus came to die for our sins on the cross rather than many of the messages from angels or beings of light etc that carry false gospels such as that Jesus is an eastern mystic, or that all ways lead to God, or that all people are one with the universe or that we can be justified by good works or that we should try to attain to enlightenment through eastern meditation etc. Not in this passage or in any other part of the Bible do angels that give messages to people give false new age or hindu like messages but only things consistant with salvation through the Lord Jesus and that he died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life. The angel also said they would call Jesus Immanuel or God with us which was a fulfillment of a prophecy in Isaiah 7:14. Jesus would save us from our sins this when he went on to die for our sins and rise from the dead for the Gentiles as well as the Jews. The name Jesus means the Lord saves or the Lord is salvation. The scripture reference from Matthew 1 of an angel of the LOrd appearing to Joseph to assure him that the child in Mary's womb was of the Holy Spirit and not of another man and for Joseph to marry her and name him Jesus to foreshadow his saving work is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Matthew 1 of An Angel Appearing to Joseph to Encourage Him to Marry Mary and Inform Joseph or Mary's Baby Jesus' Saving Work

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the (should be an) angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Gospel of Matthew 1:18-21

An Angel Appears in Person to Mary the Mother of the Lord Jesus Christ to Announce She Would Give Conceive and Give Birth to the Lord Jesus Christ the Saviour of the World from Luke 1

In contrast to some appearances of angels to people of God in the New Testament where an angel only appeared to people in a dream, this example of an angel appearing to the virgin Mary to announce that she would be the means of the conception and birth of the Lord Jesus Christ was by the appearance of an angel in person to her. This angel was the archangel Gabriel. This good angel Gabriel commended Mary for her godly living for the true God the God of the Bible. The angel said she would be blessed among women not above women. Mary at first didn't know what to think of all this but the angel told her not to fear and they was pleasing to God. Gabriel then said she would conceive and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus. The angel then said he would be great would be the Son of the Highest (the Son of God) and God would give Him the throne of his father David to rule the world in the Millennial Kingdom and then with God the Father to rule in the New Earth and the New Heavens and New Jerusalem forever. Any angel that appears these days that gives a message about Jesus should be consistant with this or other Bible references about Jesus. The scripture reference from Luke 1 of the appearance of the angel Gabriel in person to Mary to announce that she would be the means of bringing the Son of God and Saviour of the world and eventual King of kings is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Luke 1 of An Angel Appearing in Person to the Virgin Mary that She Would be the Means of Bringing the Son of God, Saviour of the World and Eventual King of Kings the Lord Jesus Christ INto the World

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed are thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and casat in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Gospel of Luke 1:26-33

Instruction and Appearance of Angels to the Shepherds near Bethlehem at the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ in Gospel of Luke 2

Around Bethlehem which was in the hill country of Judaea near Jerusalem there were shepherds watching over their flocks at the time of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. This was certainly not on December 25 as the weather then is cold and I think fairly rainy and it would not be comfortable for shepherds to be outside watching their flocks and this date for Christmas was invented at the time of Constantine in the 4th century to try to harmonize a Christian festival with the pagan roman festival of the winter solstice. Rather this event would probably be in October perhaps around the time of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles. At this time and place an angel of the Lord came from heaven to give a message to the shepherds. The word angel in the New Testament comes from the Greek word "angelos" which means messenger. This is one example of an angel being a messenger sent from God to give instructions to those on earth that he wants to inform of some of his purposes. In this particular case not just the angel but also the glory of the Lord (God the Father) appeared to the shepherds which caused them to be sore (very) afraid. The angel then gave them his famous and heart warming message that their would then be great good news that in the city of David Bethlehem would be born a Saviour who would be Christ the Lord. Of course this was speaking of Jesus of Nazareth. The angel further said the shepherds would find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes in a manger. At that time there was an appearance of a multitude of the heavenly hosts (holy angels) praising God. The angels were seeking peace on earth and good will to man or peace on earth to men of good will. This is still God's desire and will be fully realized after Jesus' second coming at the end of the tribulation when he comes to set up God's Messianic Kingdom where God will rule the earth through Jesus from Jerusalem especially the Temple there. The angels then disappeared and returned to heaven and the shepherds sought to go to Bethlehem to see the saviour who was then a baby that the angels had mentioned to them. The scripture reference in the Gospel of Luke 2 about the angels appearing to the shepherds to bring the message of Jesus' the Saviour of the world's birth is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Gospel of Luke 2 of Message from Angels of the Birth of the Lord JEsus Christ in Bethlehem About 2000 Years Ago

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ (Messiah) the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel of multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, and the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. Gospel of Luke 2:8-15

Angels Sent to Give Message of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ to Some of His Disciples on First Day of His Resurrection from Gospel of Luke 24

One of the purposes of the angels was and is to be messengers which is the term from which we get our word from angels the Greek work angelos. One of the periods during which angels acted as messengers was at some of the key events in the first earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ about 2000 years ago. One of these events was the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. In this case God sent two angels called men in the account in the Gospel of Luke to give confirmation from God to some of Jesus' disciples that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead. On the first day of the week or the Sunday following Jesus' death on the cross on the Friday which makes the day of Jesus' ressurection the third day after his death after some of the disciples came to the empty tomb of Jesus and found the stone was rolled away and his body was not there. These two angels looked like men and were wearing shining garments or robes. This must have been quite an intimidating sight as the disciples in reaction bowed down their faces to the earth. The angels then asked them why do you seek the living among the dead. The angels then reminded the disciples had foretold to the disciples that he would rise from the dead the third day after Jesus' death on the cross. The disciples then remembered this prophecy of the Lord Jesus The disciples who were some of the women disciples of the Lord Jesus went from the sepulchre to tell the 11 disciples and some other disciples of Jesus' resurrection from the dead. The scripture reference from the Gospel of Luke 24 of the angels that were sent from God to confirm and emphasize to some of Jesus' women disciples that he was risen from the dead as he foretold and urged them to tell the 11 disciples and other disciples of the LOrd JEsus is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Gospel of Luke 24 of Two Angels Sent from God to Confirm to Some of Jesus' Disciples that He Was Risen From the Dead and For Them to Tell Jesus' Other Disciples

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the LOrd Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returning from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. Gospel of Luke 24:1-10

The Lord Jesus Christ Mentions That Angels Have Special Attention and Care Over Children in Gospel of Matthew 18

Jesus spoke out in favour of little children saying of such is the kingdom of God meaning little children or those who humble themselves as children and aren't always disputing what Jesus or God says in His word the Holy Bible. Jesus also says not to look down on little children including that we should definitely avoid thoughts of harm to them. This would likely include unborn children or so-called fetuses that it is clear from God's word that God considers them human beings. Jesus then goes on to say that the angels of these children are always looking at the face of God the Father meaning these children's angels are in direct communication and favour with God and God would quickly hear about any harm to these children. In typing in the study for this verse God just showed me that this is another verse besides in Hebrews 1 that talks about guardian angels. In this case I think it applies to all children or infants but that after one reaches the age of accountability and turns from God the relation with that guardian angel is forfeited unless one humbles himself or herself and admits they are a sinner and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Saviour. The scripture reference from Matthew 18 of God's angels looking after children and being ready to defend them is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Matthew 18 of the Lord Jesus Christ's Warning Not to Despise or Harm Children as They Have Angels Looking After Them

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Gospel of Matthew 18:10

An Angel of the Lord Speaks to Philip in Acts 8 About the Ethiopian Eunuch

One of the examples of the action of angels with believers in the New Testament and the Church Age after Pentecost is an angel speaking to one of the first deacons of the church Philip. This angel appeared to Philip and spoke to him and instructed to go down to towards Gaza on the way from Jerusalem. The angel explained that there PHilip would encounter a high official from Ethiopia who he was to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with. This encounter took place as the angel said and Philip took advantage of the opportunity and shared the gospel with the Ethiopian official of the Ethiopian Queen Candace. This led to the Ethiopian official trusting in Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour and bringing the Gospel back to Ethiopia where others maybe even some of the rulers were saved by trusting in the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour and establishing a Christian presence in that land that continues to this day. The scripture reference to the angel instructing Philip to go towards Gaza and share the gospel of the Lord JEsus Christ with the Ethiopian official is as follows:

Scripture from Acts 12 of Belief of Early Christians in Guardian Angels for Believers

The setting in this passage is after the apostle Peter is let out of prison and he comes to a prayer meeting of Christians (who had been praying for his release). A Christian woman named Rhoda answered the door and she was so surprised and overjoyed to see Peter and hear his voice that she left him at the door to tell the other people at the prayer meeting. The people at the prayer meeting generally disbelieved her and thought she was mad or crazy such as seeing things but she affirmed what she was saying. Some of the Christians also said, I believe seriously, that she had instead seen his angel which would be an indication in the word of God that early Christians believed and I believe it is the truth that there are guardian angels for Christians. The scripture reference from Acts 12 of some of the Christians showing their belief in guardian angels by saying the aposple Peter after escaping from prison was his guardian angel is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Acts 12 Showing Belief of Early Christians in Guardian Angels for Christians

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed it was even so. They said they, It is his angel. Acts 12:13-15

Scripture Reference from Acts 8 of a Holy Angel Coming and Speaking to Philip to Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ With an Ethiopian Official He Would Meet Near Gaza

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Acts 8:26-27

The Apostle Paul Identifies Himself With Other Apostles and Their Dedicated and Unique Witness of the Lord Jesus ChristWho Are A Primary Focus of the Attention of Humanity and of Angels From 1 Corinthians 4

In 1 Corinthians 4 starting in verse 9 The Apostle Paul again defends his apostolic office to the sceptical Corinthian church. A main reason they were sceptical was that the apostle Paul was converted and became a main witness of the Lord Jesus Christ later than the 11 original apostles and disciples so they didn't consider him and his later commission from the risen Lord Jesus Christ on the same level for qualification as an apostle of Jesus. In this chapter the apostle Paul again rightly defends his apostolic office by mentioning all the suffering for Jesus he has undergone. Paul could be comparing some of his sufferings for Christ to the people including Christians who suffered as spectacles to the Romans in the Colisseum or Circus or similiar places were people including Christians were persecuted before witnesses sometimes for sport. He also mentions that not only human beings on earth but angels including from heaven have been witness of His pioneer and remarkable witness for the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel or good news of salvation by faith in Him (Jesus) and His death and resurrection. However other Christians and holy angels would not view the apostle Paul or other apostles' dedicated service for God through the Lord Jesus Christ in a condescending way liking watching slaves or gladiators in the Colisseum but would be impressed and inspired by their dedicated Christian service but unsaved people or other Christian in the old or fleshly nature or fallen angels or demons the latter (fallen angels and demons) that still has access to heaven would probably have viewed the apostles' Christian service in such a condescending way as to view it as slaves including Christians fighting fierce animals or professional fighters in the Colisseum in Rome. The scripture reference from 1 Corinthians 4 of the apostle Paul defending his apostolic office before the Corinthians church with his extraordinary witness for Jesus and that that witness is not only before humans including the Corinthians on earth but also before and witnessed by angels in heaven is as follows:

Scripture Reference from 1 Corinthians 4 of The Apostle Paul Mentioning to the Corinthians Church That His Remarkable and Dedicated Service for Jesus is Evidence of His Apostleship Witnessed Not Just by Them and Other People on Earth but Also by Angels in Heaven

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 1 Corinthians 4:9-15

Declaration that the Lord Jesus Christ Now Has Authority Over All Angels in 1 Peter 3

The apostle Peter under divine inspiration relates that the Lord Jesus Christ after his first earthly ministry and resurrection went into heaven at his ascension. Then the Lord Jesus Christ as a reward from God the Father for Jesus' faithfulness to Him while Jesus was on earth was given authority over all angels, authorities and powers. This would include all good angels as well as evil angels including Satan or Lucifer. This is partly what is meant when the Lord Jesus Christ stated after he rose from the dead that all authority had been given to him in heaven and earth in Matthew 28. This will continue for the rest of time. The scripture reference from 1 Peter 3 of the Lord Jesus Christ having been given authority over all angels after his ascension is as follows:

Scripture Reference from 1 Peter 3 of the Ascended Lord Jesus Christ Given Authority Over All Angels Good and Bad

Who (Jesus) is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. 1 Peter 3:22

Angels Not as High as the Lord Jesus Christ and Angels Promised as Guardian Angels for Believers in Hebrews 1

In verse 13 the angels are contrasted to the Lord Jesus Christ since it is denied that it applies to angels that they will be at the right hand of God (in Heaven). This is in contrast to the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God who will sit at the right hand of God and according to other scriptures including in the book of Hebrews the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) has been at the right hand of God since His ascension to heaven from earth 40 days after his resurrection from the dead. Jesus is now there as our high priest and will eventually use that position as God's designated judge of all people. To be at God's footstool could mean that people are defeated on earth or even could mean they be brought to the heart of the earth in hell. What the angels are however are ministering or serving spirits including guardians angels to serve on behalf of those who shall be heirs of salvation or believers. In this age that means Christians or Jews and Gentiles or people of other nations that trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and that are united by God's Holy Spirit. In Old Testament times those who would be heirs of salvation were Jews or those who joined the Jews and believed in the God of Israel and the then future Messiah while the heirs of salvation in the tribulation and the Messianic Kingdom will be separately Jews and Gentiles or people of the nations that trust in the Lord Jesus the Messiah as their Lord and Saviour that he died for them and rose again to give new life and then with a part for the Law of Moses but especially in the Messianic Kingdom in combination with the New Covenant and indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These angels minister or serve the heirs of salvation by preventing believers from physical harm and perhaps spiritually protect believers from spiritual attacks of demons or fallen angels including Satan the devil. The scripture reference from Hebrews 1 of angels not at God's right hand as Jesus Christ is but being spirits that minister to serve including guard believers is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Hebrews 1 of Angels Not Being at God's Right Hand as Jesus the Son of God is But Being Spirits Serving Including Guarding Believers

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1:13-14

Instruction to Entertain of Provide Hospitality to Strangers That in Doing This We Could Entertain or Provide Hospitality to Angels from Hebrews 13

The writer to the book of Hebrews, who is probably the Apostle Paul, here instructs the Hebrews especially the Jewish believers in Jesus to exercise hospitality to strangers. Then by divine revelation God showed to Paul or the writer to Hebrews that some of the Christians in exercising hospitality had entertained or provided hospitality to angels. The writer of this book is saying that it isn't a rare thing to have even now angels in our midst and that they often take the form of regular looking men and perhaps women. I have personally heard some stories about missionaries or other people of God both Christian and Jewish for whom angels have appeared in the role of protectors or other parts of their roles as ministering spirits. Angels could also help Christians day by day avoid or avoid harm from danger more than we realize and for which we might not find out until we get to heaven when God will probably reveal these things to us as well as perhaps introducing us to the angels that protected us. The scripture about the possibility of providing hospitality to angels when we exercise the instruction to provide hospitality to strangers in Hebrews 13 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Hebrews 13 of Instruction for Christians to Provide Hospitality to Strangers by Which We Sometimes Can Unknowingly Entertain or Provide Hospitality to Angels

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

Passage of Seven Angels Associated with the Seven Churches of Revelation in Revelation 1

Near the end of Revelation 1 seven angels are mentioned that are associated with the seven churches mentioned in Revelation 2 and 3. These angels would have the role of protecting or overseeing these churches and the Christians or seekers there. Although there are different layers of meaning associated with these seven churches the main ones are that they were historically seven actual local churches in Asia minor in what is now western Turkey but they were and are representative of the church through different parts of this present church age over the last 2000 years. These seven churches and the angels associated with them also in some sense speak of the church in general or as a whole. The role of these seven angels with the seven churches is likely confined to the church age from Pentecost to the rapture of the church which will happen quite soon. It is possible these seven angels will have a different role in the future including for God's people on earth. The scripture reference from Revelation 1 of the seven angels associated with the seven churches is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Revelation 1 of Seven Angels Associated with the Seven Churches

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Revelation 1:20

Scripture Reference from Revelation 8 of the Seven Angels in the Tribulation With the Seven Trumpet Judgments

At the beginning of Revelation 8 we are introduced to seven angels each having a trumpet. They are later associated with each of the seven trumpet judgments in this and following chapters. I believe this would be in the first half of the seven year tribulation. This would be after the church is caught up to heaven and when God would be working through the 144,000 Messianic Jewish witnesses to win people to Himself and His Son Jesus Christ on earth. Although there are also seven angels associated with the seven churches and seven angels mentioned in these judgments in the tribulation I believe they might or might not be the same angels but of course they are associated with different groups of human people in a different time in earth's history or future. Whatever the case it is clear that God puts an emphasis on the number seven to carry out his plan and that these angels in both cases have great authority. The scripture reference from Revelation 8 of the seven angels in the tribulation that carry out the seven trumpet judgments is as follows:

Scripture Reference from REvelation 8 of Seven Angels Associated With Seven Trumpet Judgments in the Tribulation

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. Revelation 8:2

Description of Seven Angels Carrying out the Seven Vial (Bowl) Judgments in the Tribulation from Revelation 16

Although I have already mentioned seven angels for the seven churches in the present Church Age and seven angels for the seven trumpet judgments in the first half of the tribulation and these may or may not be the same angels there is another instance in the Book of Revelation where seven angels are mentioned. These are the seven angels who unleash the seven bowl or vial judgments in the second half of the tribulation in Revelation 16. These are the most severe and last judgments of God on the earth and people of the earth in the tribulation and these angels may or may not be the same as the seven angels of the seven churches or the seven angels of the seven trumpet judgments but they are probably at least the same as the seven angels bringing the seven trumpet judgments. This is an indication that although sometimes angels are God's messengers to bring comfort or guidance to believers they can also be used by God in power to bring His judgment for sin. The reference to these seven angels used to bring the last seven bowl or vial judgments in the tribulation in Revelation 16 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Revelation 16 of Seven Angels that Bring the Seven Bowl or Vial Judgments of the Tribulation

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Revelation 16:1

An Angel That Talked With the Apostle John Instructed Him or Other People Not to Worship Him (the Angel) or Other Angels But to Worship God in Revelation 19

A holy angel appears to the apostle John in his visions written in the book of Revelation after John saw the vision of the judgment of Babylon and the wedding feast of the Lamb for the church in heaven. The angel then instructed John to say to the people that read the Bible that blessed are all those called to the marriage supper of the Lamb (that is through receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour in this present Church Age) and that these sayings are the true sayings of God (even though they are quite marvellous). John then fell at the feet of the angel to worship him, probably because of the outward and visible splendour of the angel. The angel then clearly and immediately told John that he shouldn't worship him (the angel) because he was just a fellow servant of God and shared having the testimony of Jesus. This is significant because there are many in the New Age Movement or similiar belief systems that say they have seen angels even what they believe are good angels that identify themselves as such things as aliens, the space brothers or ascended masters but the holy angel in this passage gives a realistic message of the nature or role of true good angels are that is fellowservants and brethren with Christians that have the testimony of Jesus. The angel then redirects John to worship God which would include God the Son or the Son of God Jesus Christ who John worshipped at the beginning of the Book of Revelation with approval. The holy angel here also says here that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit or essence of prophecy. This is in contradiction of some of the messages of demons in the form of holy angels or aliens or ascended masters that say Jesus is just one with the Christ spirit or that any human can become a god through mystical practices etc. I haven't fully investigated the claims of encounters with angels but two good things to check especially if you believe you have had such an experience is how the being identifies himself/itself and what their message is all compared to the Bible taken literally. I think the way the angel reacted to John's attempt to worship him as well as what other parts of the Bible say about angels makes it quite clear that angels are just created beings although higher in wisdom and power that humans in this life and that humans should not worship angels but only God including the Lord Jesus Christ. This is in clear distinction from the New Age Movement and other forms of paganism or the occult as well as some mysticism such as that in the Roman Catholic Church or some other versions of Christianity where angels are worshipped. If you fall into the practice of worshipping angels I encourage you to turn from that practice and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and one Mediator between God and man who died for your sins and rose again from the dead to give you new life and ask God's forgiveness for your misplaced worship of angels. Like this angel of God, the holy or faithful angels wil not seek worship or glory to themselves but only to God and Jesus who they will present themselves as servants of. Demons or fallen angels on the other hand might appear as something hideous or sometimes pose as good angels or angels of light and will seek worship or glory to themselves from people. The scripture passage from Revelation 19 of the holy angel forbidding human worship from the apostle John is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Revelation 19 of a Holy Angel Refusing Worship from the Apostle John as a Warning to Worship God and Not Angels

And he (the angel) saith unto me, write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he saith unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:9-10

Background of Possible Connection With the Four Spirits of the Heavens in Visions of Four Chariots in Zechariah 6 and Four Beasts (Living Creatures) of First Four Seal Judgments of Revelation 6

Recently I was reading God's word - the Holy Bible in the book of the prophet Zechariah in the Old Testament or Hebrew scriptures. One of the new insights God gave me by His Holy Spirit in my reading there this time is based on the vision of the 4 chariots in the early part of Zechariah chapter 6. This vision involves four spirits of the heavens to go into all the earth to carry out God's sovereign purposes in the nations of the Earth. This would likely involve some judgment of the nations. Although there is some difference of opinion what the particular chariots represent both in terms of what nations and what time on earth in God's prophetic program there is a more common interpretation from bible teachers I agree with. This position is that these four spirits of the whole earth likely involves God's sovereign purposes over and some judgment of the four world empires represented in Daniel's visions of Daniel chapters 2 and 7. In those visions God through the prophet Daniel portrays 4 successive world empires and a final form of the fourth one that represent four world empires that have some control over the people and area of God's chosen earthly people the Jews or Israel. These nations are Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar, Persia starting with Darius of the Medes and Persians and Cyrus the Persian, Alexander the Great of Greece including Macedonia, the Romans and the last days restored version of the Roman Empire under the Antichrist or Beast out of the Sea or Man of Sin. When Zechariah received his vision of the four chariots from God it was around the year 520 BC. At that time the first world empire represented by the red horse that of Babylon starting with King Nebuchadnezzar had already been fulfilled by God and His angels on the world stage. When Zechariah had this vision in about 520 BC Cyrus the Persia would be ruling including over Israel which would be represented by the second horse or the second chariot pulled by a black horse from the north country with the Jews or Israelites viewing Babylon or Persia as coming from the north direction since they would invade Israel from the north after they went up the Euphrates River and came down into Israel through what are now the nations of Syria or Lebanon.

However the most important thing God this time showed me from this vision given by the LORD God to Zechariah of the four chariots is that the four spirits of the heavens represented by the four horses pulling the four chariots is that these four spirits are likely the same angels called by God to judge the world mentioned as the four beasts or living creatures in Revelation 6. The four beasts or living creatures of Revelation 6 are four angels, I think the same four angels, that God gives responsibility to exert God's sovereignty and some judgment of the nations of Earth as in Zechariah 6. Although I believe the seal judgments the four beasts carry out in Revelation 6 are in the early part of the yet future 7 year tribulation between the rapture or catching up to heaven of God's chosen heavenly people the Church or true Christians of this present age until the glorious Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to judge the world at the end of the tribulation I think those four beasts are the same angels as the the four spirits of the heavens of Zechariah 6. I also think that God has shown me that there is a secondary application of the vision of four chariots of Zechariah 6 with the last days tribulation. This last days version of God's judgment of the nations of Earth of Zechariah 6 could correspond to either His judgment of the nations at the beginning of the tribulation or 70th week of Daniel of Daniel 9 or God's judgments of the nations at the end of the 7 year tribulation at the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to judge the world and set up God's Kingdom over all the Earth. The latter application time of God's judgment of the nations of the Earth at the Second Coming of God's Son Jesus Christ to set up God's Kingdom through His visible rule focused on Jerusalem through His then restored earthly people of Israel as well as the restored to Him through Jesus (Y'Shua) of the nations and of the true Church of this age would be through the angels mentioned by Jesus in the Olivet discourse of Matthew 24 especially verse 31 there. The scripture references from Zechariah 6, Revelation 6 and Matthew 24 of the four angels (four spirits of the heavens or four beasts (living creatures)) that God uses to rule and judge the nations through history but especially at the end of the time of the Gentiles (nations) leading up to God's visible rule over the Earth through His Son Jesus Christ is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Zechariah 6 of God Ruling or Judging the Nations Through Vision of Four Chariots and Four (Angelic) Spirits of the Heavens in History and the Last Days Tribulation

And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, There are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth from the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. Then creied he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country. Zechariah 6:1-8

Scripture Reference from Revelation 6 of God's Vision to the Apostle John of the Seal Judgments by the Lord Jesus Christ Through Four Beasts (Living Creatures) in the Beginning of the Tribulation Corresponding to the Four Spirits of the Heavens in Zechariah 6

And I saw when the Lamb (Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God) opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that say on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see that hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts (physical animals) of the earth. Revelation 6:1-8

Scripture Reference from Gospel of Matthew 24 of God's Judgment of the World and Setting Up His Visible Kingdom on Earth at the End of the Tribulation Through His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Angels (With the Angels Corresponding to the Four Spirits of the Heavens of Zechariah 6 and Four Beasts (Living Creatures) of Revelation 6

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Gospel of Matthew 24:29-31

The Holy Angels to Accompany the Lord Jesus Christ When He Comes From Heaven at His Glorious Second Coming from Gospel of Mark 8

The Lord Jesus Christ makes it clear he considers it a serious offence for anyone to be ashamed of him or his words in the ungodly world we live in. It is true this could cause some embarrassment or even ostracism or social prejudice or mistreatment but it is even worse in some non-Christian countries where there is open persecution of Christians. However Jesus says he still doesn't want true Christians or believers to be ashamed that is to shrink from or hide our committment to Jesus or also His and God's word - the Holy Bible. Jesus says quite clearly that if we do this especially without repentance or on a consistant basis he will be ashamed at His second coming when he comes in the glory or splendour of the Heavenly Father and of the holy angels. The holy angels as God's messengers will help God and Jesus set up His Kingdom with His word and His values over all the earth and also to take off the earth all those who don't repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour at the end of the tribulation or 70th week of Daniel. This will be so there will be predominantly believers among also the mortal people at the beginning of the Millennial or Messianic Kingdom of God through the Lord Jesus Christ on earth after Jesus' second coming. The holy angels will give glory to God and the Lord Jesus Christ at that time also as they always do. If you have seen or heard of an angel that didn't give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ according to God's Word - the Holy Bible as the one who came to die for our sins and rise again to give new life as God come in the flesh that supposed angel you have seen or heard of could well not be a holy angel but a demon or fallen angel masquerading as a holy angel as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 11 and you should not listen or dwell on such an angel but on the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father according to God's word - the Holy Bible. God and Jesus want people who are or who become true Christians who are His true people to not be ashamed of the Lord Jesus in this present time of his rejection by society or the world so he doesn't feel compelled to be ashamed of us when he comes in and established his glory on this world and the society he establishes on earth. The scripture reference from Mark 8 of the holy angels joining the Lord Jesus Christ when he comes in His Father's glory from heaven at the end of the tribulation to set up His Messianic Kingdom on earth is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Mark 8 of the Holy Angels to Join the Lord Jesus Christ When He Comes from Heaven at the End of the Tribulation to Set Up God's Kingdom on Earth

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Gospel of Mark 8:38

Reference in Gospel of John 1 of Angels Related to the Lord Jesus Christ in the Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom

I could only find one other possible reference to angels in the Messianic Kingdom in God's Word the Holy Bible. I think this goes to show that angels will not have a very prominent role on earth in the Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom but the focus will be squarely on the Lord Jesus Christ as the Jewish Messiah in the line of David and King of kings and Lord of lords over all the earth. It is true that the angels are mentioned prominently as coming with the Lord Jesus Christ at his second coming at the beginning of the Messianic Kingdom but they are hardly mentioned at all after that until some references to them in eternity in the Book of Revelation. However one reference I have found that gives a good insight into what some of them could be doing on earth in the Messianic Kingdom is in the Gospel of John 1. This passage had to do with the Lord Jesus meeting and calling Nathaniel to be one of his disciples. One of the things Jesus said to Nathaniel was that before Philip called him and while he was still under the fig tree I saw you. Now the expression under the fig tree is very significant and would be known from the Old Testament by most devout Jews including probably Nathaniel as an allusion to the Messianic Kingdom as this expression is used three times in the Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) once referring to the peace and prosperity of Israel under King Solomon (1 Kings 4:25) and once in direct reference to the Messianic or Millennial Kingdom as a time of righteousness and implied of peace and prosperity (Zechariah 3:10) and once of the peace and prosperity of the Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom (Micah 4:4). Nathaniel understood what Jesus was implying and affirmed Jesus as the promised Jewish Messiah although he was probably looking for a Messiah to liberate the Jews from their earthly oppressors in this case the Romans and establish visibly and unmistakedly God's Kingdom on earth at that time which Jesus did not come to do then but will in his second coming at the end of the tribulation. This concept of Nathaniel of Jesus as the glorious Jewish Messiah is evident from him not only calling Jesus the Son of God but also the King of Israel. Jesus in verse 50 makes clear that he recognized it was because of his reference to being under the fig tree that Nathaniel responded to him as the Jewish Messiah and Jesus went on to say he would see greater things than this. Jesus said afterwards Nathaniel would see heaven opened and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. Since Jesus refers to the throne of his glory elsewhere in the Gospels in a Messianic Kingdom sense probably in reference to him sitting in the Messianic Kingdom Temple in Jerusalem in the Messianic or Millennial Kingdom, the heaven would probably be opened in the Messianic Kingdom directly above the Messianic Kingdom Temple in Jerusalem and this would allow the angels to ascend and descend between heaven and Jesus, the Son of Man, on earth in the Messianic Kingdom Temple in Jerusalem as a main feature of angels on earth in the Messianic Kingdom. I think this also implies that angels will be involved in worshipping Jesus as the Messiah and King of Israel and King of kings and HIgh Priest after the order of Melchizedek in the Temple in Jerusalem in the Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom. Jesus using the phrase under the fig tree to lead Nathaniel to believe that Jesus would be the one to bring the Messianic Kingdom to the Jews on earth eventually and that this would involve the manifestation of angels probably over the Messianic Kingdom Temple over Jesus as the Jewish Messiah in the Gospel of John 1 is as follows:

Scripture Reference from Gospel of John 1 of the Lord Jesus Christ Using the Picture of Under the Fig Tree to Convince Nathaniel that He Was the Jewish Messiah Who Would be Glorified By Angels in the Messianic Kingdom

Nathaniel saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathaniel answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. John 1:48-51
